The History of the Randallcarr Kennel name

The Kennel name Randallcarr belonged to Teri Hague, it was at her bequest that on her death in 2016 that we adopted her kennel name and carried her line on to the best of our ability. We already had by then, either bought or had in our care or in the care of our friends, all her dogs. We did this as Teri had been too unwell for a considerable amount of time to care for them.

The name Randallcarr is the name of the tributary than runs through her land where her horses were stabled .

Teri spent her life devoted to animals. She had a special empathy with a sick or difficult animal and nurtured so many back to health where others had given up and was able to see them go on to live a happy, healthy life. Her first love; apart from dogs, were her ponies and horses. From her Palominos down to her Miniature Ponies, she had them all. Before her latest illness she had twenty six in her care which she lovingly looked after on her land along with her other animals – far too numerous to name.
Her first foray into dog showing and breeding was with her beloved Dobermans. A friend said to me a short time before her death;
“if Teri was a stick of rock she would have Doberman written right through her”
Her next breed was her beloved English Toy Terriers, many of whom became champions. There are innumerable Pedigrees of ETTs being shown today with a Randallcarr parent . The most well known of sires are Ch.Randallcarr Royal Ace and the recently deceased Randallcarr Dream Lover. Many of the top kennels have benefited greatly from her generosity in allowing the use of her dogs. Both here and abroad with the aim to improve the breed.

It is my hope that through her love of animals that she will be remembered. I miss her hugely but I know wherever she is she will be surrounded by her beloved animals.
Rest in peace my friend, you deserve to.
