Milo the PAT Dog at Crufts 2019

Milo the English Toy Terrier, owned by club member Jonny Nagler, is a 4 year old trained Pets As Therapy Dog. PAT dogs are “wellbeing dog” that work in places such as hospitals, care homes and schools. Part of his work involves promoting Pets As Therapy and raising awareness of the health benefits of having a wellbeing dog around.

Here’s what Jonny and Milo got up to at Crufts promoting Pets As Therapy

Helped set up Pets as Therapy stand for 6 hours

Interviewed by Jo Good and Anna Webb Live from Crufts on Radio London Barking Hour about vulnerable breeds and how using Milo as a Pets as Therapy dog brings the breed to the attention of the public that are less educated about vulnerable breeds

Watched Sarah and Lume in the Vulnerable Breeds Competition Final and Richard and Spike in the Junior Warrant Competition Final
More about that here
Appeared on the opening Channel 4 at Crufts evening show with Clare Balding with Milo in his PAT uniform, which gained more coverage for breed and PAT

Supported Pets as Therapy during award of PAT dog of the year. Presented by James Middleton

Helped Kim Ross with English Toy Terrier Discover Dogs Breed Stand

Manned the PAT and ETT stands and some of the PAT sponsors stands, spreading the word on ETTs and Milo’s PAT work

Watched Anna Webb and Prudence the mini bull terrier (Milo’s girlfriend) compete in her limit bitch class
